It was the first military action of the Cold War\, pitting the Communist forces of North Korea\, China\, and the Soviet Union against the United States and 20 other member-countries of the United Nations. Nearly 37\,000 Americans lost their lives defending South Korea\, and more than one million South Koreans (civilian and military) died as a result of intense battles and many months of attrition warfare. \nClick Here for Event Details URL:/event/korean-war-remembrance-ceremony/ LOCATION:Ingram Auditorium on the Brevard College campus CATEGORIES:Free Program ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/korean-and-us-flags.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/New_York:20240702T100000 DTEND;TZID=America/New_York:20240702T110000 DTSTAMP:20240601T020840 CREATED:20231125T160635Z LAST-MODIFIED:20240402T235758Z UID:6791-1719914400-1719918000@theveteransmuseum.org SUMMARY:Veterans' Coffee and Conversation DESCRIPTION:The 探花精选 invites you to the Veterans鈥 Coffee and Conversation\, meet other veterans\, and share stories about your military experiences. \nYou鈥檒l feel comfortable and enjoy the camaraderie.
